Welcome to our August update. Catch up on all the latest improvements, exciting new features, and what’s in the pipeline this month. Be sure to explore our latest blog posts and upcoming social media events.
New this month
You can bookmark our System Update page for regular updates. Here is a summary of what’s new this month:
- Webfactory Knowledge Base: Our new Knowledge base product is now live! This feature is ideal for storing help/support documents, employee manuals, and training materials. You can start a 14 day free trial on the Knowledge Base website and receive an early adopter discount.
- New intro text to FAQ sections: Before, you could only add an introduction to a full FAQ page. Now, you can add it to FAQ sections too.
- New sidebar display options: Before, you could only add them to certain pages or the whole site. Now, you can also show sidebars on Itemlister search results and article pages.
- New animated stat element: We’ve added two new Animated Stat elements to make your numbers stand out. As you scroll, the number counts up from 0 to its final value.
- New newsfeed silder: The Advanced news feed is now split into two options: News grid and News slider. News slider is a new slideshow-style layout for a more visual way to show your news. The old version is now called the Classic news grid.
- New free crop feature: We’ve made image uploading easier. Before, you had to pick a set crop size, even if it wasn’t needed. Now, there’s a new “Free crop” option, so you can crop images any way you like, without fixed shapes.
- Improved price dropdown: We’ve improved how price dropdowns work in the property search box. Before, if you didn’t set price options yourself, the dropdowns were empty. Now, if no prices are set, the system will automatically fill in a price range based on the properties on the page.
- Improved request a quote page: We’ve made it easier to request a quote. The updated page shows all your options in one place: quote form, live chat, WhatsApp, or phone call.
Things to think about
We've put together some topical social media events to help you with content creation this month:
- National Wellness Month, Happiness Happens Month - Month-long: Share daily wellness tips, joy-filled content, and engaging challenges. Share user stories, promote self-care bundles, run gratitude giveaways, and offer downloadable wellness tools
- International Cat Day - 8th August: Engage your audience by sharing cute cat content, encouraging followers to post their cat photos. Consider offering cat-themed promotions and partnering with animal charities to show your brand’s caring side.
- National Book Lovers Day - 9th August: Share your book recommendations, quotes, and reading tips. Encourage followers to share their favourite reads.
- International Youth Day - 12th August: Highlight inspiring stories of young people making a difference.
- International Dog Day - 26th August: Share adorable dog photos or videos, especially office dogs or team members’ pets.

We're always working hard behind the scenes to make improvements to our products and services. Below is what we're working on:
- Chatbox (name to be confirmed): We're working on a fully integrated chat widget for your websites. This lets customers message you directly from your website.
- Webfactory SiteRank (name to be confirmed): An easy way to track your website's rankings over time. Monitor multiple key phrases. See how effective you are being at improving your rankings. We have a very early beta version which is rough around the edges if you would like to start using it at this stage, lots is subject to change however. You can create a 14 day trial on the SiteRank website and receive an early adopter discount.
